Slav Gratchev, MBA, PhD is Professor of Spanish at Marshall University and the recipient of the Distinguished Artists and Scholars Award in 2019. He is the author/or editor of twelve books, including the Historical novel Three Steps Forward, presently published in Russian. His research interests are broad: from Spanish Literature of the Golden Age to Russian Avant-garde; from Mikhail Bakhtin to female friendship; from translation studies to advanced methods in teaching foreign languages.
