He is currently PhD candidate in the school of Modern languages and linguistics at the University of Limerick in Ireland. His research interests include Arabic-English translation pedagogy, translator training, Academic writing, and Genre pedagogy, new media technologies, and Interactive WEB 2.0 applications, particularly digital online blogging in EFL wring instruction. He has published a number of articles and papers in a number of international journals and conferences.

Ms. Norfarizan Mohamad

Norfarizan Mohamad is an English teacher cum warden in Banting Science Secondary School, (abbreviated BASIS), a boarding school in Banting, Selangor, Malaysia. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral studies in English in Islamic Science University of Malaysia, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. Knowing the fact that English is important for secondary school students to be able to connect with people from various countries as well as improving one’s quality of life by providing job opportunities; Norfarizan proposes a vlog entry as an edutainment stimulus to teach English speaking skills. Her research of interest would give a holistic picture on the effective use of Vlog entries to teach speaking and help to point the right direction in implementing technology in the 21st century classroom.
