Dr. Sawsan Awwad-Tabry

Dr. Sawsan Awwad-Tabry holds a Bachelor degree in Education and English Language and Literature. She received her Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the University of Reading, England and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford, Connecticut. She teaches in the Master’s program in the Department of Educational Leadership and System Management and in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Oranim College of Education. In her work, Sawsan emphasizes the importance of reflection and self-compassion for leaders’ personal and profession growth and well-being. Sawsan believes in cultivating intercultural sensitivity and multicultural competency as a tool to bridge gaps in education.

Among many performance improvement initiatives completed a ‘European Leadership Study’ which resulted in significant changes to the development of future corporate leaders. He has published over 120 articles and proceedings, has authored eight book chapters, written ten books and edited three others. He has also presented more than 100 refereed conference papers across Canada, the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
